Help with the Unformly beta, previously called TypeKind.
Set up the iPhone or iPad keyboard
After installing a beta supplied by the studio, open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and choose Unformly. Older builds may appear as TypeKind. While typing, hold the globe key to choose it. Full Access is not required by the current beta.
Reload after a beta update
Switch to another keyboard, then back to Unformly. If the old name or appearance remains, close and reopen the app you are typing in. Contact us before removing a beta installation.
Undo a correction
Tap Backspace immediately after a correction to restore the original input. Corrections are applied at word boundaries; keep typing normally to continue.
Use the keyboard controls
Hold Delete to erase faster. Double-tap Shift for Caps Lock. Space returns the symbol pages to letters. On the latest iPhone beta, hold Space and slide left or right to move the cursor; hold supported letters to open accent choices. Tap the smile for emoji and search.
Why is a correction missing?
First check that Unformly is selected. Password fields, some apps, and fields that request no autocorrection may use different behavior. URLs, email addresses, and numeric fields bypass prose correction. iPad sizing and app compatibility are still being refined.
Mac beta
Use the input source and companion settings supplied with your Mac beta. Existing builds may still use the TypeKind name. Correction availability depends on the active input source, app, and field.
Send useful feedback
Include your device, system version, beta version, app name, and a short made-up example showing what you typed and what happened. Describe whether the issue followed Space, punctuation, Return, a prediction tap, or Backspace. Do not include passwords, verification codes, or private conversations.
