Privacy information for the current Unformly beta, previously called TypeKind.

Typing and corrections

The current correction engine processes the text context needed for an edit on your device. It does not send keystrokes or message text to Arsonist Studios, an external AI model, or an analytics service. There is no Unformly account, advertising, or typing telemetry in the current beta.

Temporary keyboard state

The iPhone keyboard keeps short-lived context for suggestions, correction undo, spelling caches, and emoji search. Temporary spelling, search, recent-emoji, and rejected-correction state clears when the keyboard closes. It is not a saved message history. The keyboard may retain system-provided supplementary dictionary entries, including names and text shortcuts, in memory to help preserve spelling and offer completions.

Local preferences

The Mac companion settings stores your correction preferences and any personal vocabulary you choose locally on your Mac. These settings are not synced to a studio server. The current iPhone beta does not persist a learned typing history or personal message corpus.

Keyboard permissions and Apple services

The current iPhone keyboard does not require Full Access and does not use a network service for corrections. It uses the device’s spelling tools and system-provided supplementary lexicon. Password fields and some other fields may use Apple’s keyboard instead. Device backups and diagnostic sharing selected in your Apple settings are controlled by you and Apple.
